MDI Boys 59 Presque Isle 41

The MDI Boys defeated Presque Isle 59-41 on Friday, January 22nd in Bar Harbor, improving to 10-3 on the season.

The Trojans jumped out to a 10-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Riley Swanson had 6 points including a 3-pointer, Colby Lee had a 3-pointer and Drew Rich had 1 point. For Presque Isle, Kyle Rider had 5 points, Trace Cyr and Jonah Hudson each had 2 points.

In the 2nd Quarter, MDI outscored Presque Isle 16-12 to take a 26-21 lead at the end of the 1st Half. For MDI Swanson had 5 points including a 3-pointer. Russell Kropff had 4 points, Devin Parlatore had 3 points and Graham Good, and Isaiah Keene each had 2 points. For the Wildcats Rider had 6 points, Caleb Nadeau had a 3-pointer and Bradley Kinney had 3 points.

In the 3rd Quarter, MDI extended their lead to 45-30, outscoring Presque Isle 19-9. Kropff had 8 points including 2 3-pointers, Swanson had another 3-pointer, and then Parlatore, Aaron Snurkowski, Drew Rich and Gus Reeves all had 2 points. For Presque Isle Rider had 5 points including a 3-pointer, Randon Mortland had 2 points and Hudson had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter Good had 6 points for MDI, while Andrew Phelps had 3 points, Swanson and Parlatore had 2 points each and Snurkowski had 1 point. For the Wildcats, Griffin Guerrette had 7 points including 2 3-pointers, and Rider had 4 points.

MDI was led by Riley Swanson with 16 points, while Russell Kropff had 12 points and Graham Good had 8 points. All of MDI's players who checked into the game scored. MDI was 7-12 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle was led by Kyle Rider with a game high 20 points and Griffin Guerrette had 7 points. The Wildcats were 2-9 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 10-3 and plays host to Caribou on Saturday, January 23rd at 2:30 in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.
