For the past two plus years, while work has been done on Route 3, there have been traffic lights at the intersection of Route 3 and the Crooked Road (near the Chart Room Restaurant) and then at the intersection of Route 3 and the entrance to Acadia National Park.
There is a Beach Hazard Warning in effect today, Saturday, May 25th through 8PM this evening. Areas affected include Acadia National Park, Lamoine Beach, Schoodic Point Peninsula, Castine, Roque Bluffs State Park and Quoddy Head State Park.
