Ellsworth Boys 46 Caribou 29

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team picked up a big win over Caribou on Friday, January 22nd in Ellsworth at Katsiaficas Gymnasium, defeating the Vikings 46-29.

Ellsworth led 8-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and then took a 26-13 lead over Caribou at the end of the 1st Half, outscoring the Vikings 18-9 in the 2nd Quarter. It was 36-23 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Kyle Golding with a season high 17 points. Bruce St. Peter had 8 points and Bryce Harmon had 6 points. Ellsworth drained 4 3-pointers, 3 by Golding and 1 by Nick Bagley. Ellsworth was 6-10 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Nicholas Allen with 9 points and Gabe Massey had 7 points. The Vikings had 1 3-pointer, by Massey, and the Vikings went 6-8 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 9-4 and plays host to Presque Isle on Saturday, January 23rd at 2:30 PM.

Caribou is now 7-6 and plays at MDI on Saturday, January 23rd at 2:30 PM in a game that will be heard on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.
