MDI Boys 69 Caribou 42 [Box Score]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team has lost only 3 games this season, one of them to Caribou on December 30th 60-57, and the Trojans got their revenge on Saturday, January 23rd, defeating the Caribou Vikings 69-42 in Bar Harbor.

MDI came out flying in the 1st Quarter, taking a 19-2 lead in the first 4:05, and at the end of the 1st Quarter led Caribou 21-10. Riley Swanson had 7 points, Graham Good had 5 points, Andrew Phelps had a 3-pointer, and Gus Reeves, Colby Lee and Russell Kropff each had 2 points. For Caribou, Austin Findlen had 6 points, and Donovan Savage and Ricky Sheldon each had 2 points.

MDI outscored Caribou 17-8 in the 2nd Quarter, and led at the 1st Half 38-18. In the 2nd Quarter, Swanson had 9 points including a 3-pointer. Devin Parlatore had 4 points and Good and Aaron Snurkowski each had 2 points. For Caribou, Savage had 4 points, Andre Rossignol had 2 points and Nick Allen had 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter, both teams scored 20 points and at the end of the 3rd Quarter, MDI led 58-38. Swanson had 5 points including a 3-pointer, Phelps had a 3-pointer, Good had 3 points and Drew Rich, Snurkowski and Isaiah Keene each had 2 points. Colby Lee hit a long 3 pointer at the buzzer! For Caribou Savage had 10 points including 2 3-pointers, Rossignol had 2 3-points and Allen and Gunnar Bondeson each had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter, Caribou's Donovan Savage picked up a technical foul for his 5th foul and fouled out with 7:02 left in the 4th Quarter. For MDI Kaleb Payson had 3 points and Mac Shea, Lee, Parlatore had 2 points and Kropff and Keene each had 1 point.

For MDI Riley Swanson had 21 points, Graham Good had 10 points and Colby Lee had 7 points. Every MDI Trojan scored. MDI was 10-15 from the free throw line.

For Caribou Donovan Savage had 18 points and Andre Rossignol had 8 points. Caribou was 4-8 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 11-3 and plays at Hermon on Wednesday, January 27th at 7 PM.

Caribou is 7-7 and plays host to Houlton on Tuesday, January 26th at 7 PM.
