The MDI Boy's  Basketball Team defeated Foxcroft Academy 78-71 on Friday, January 29th in Bar Harbor to improve to 13-3 on the season.

The Ellsworth Girl's Basketball Team played host to Orono on Thursday, January 28th and came away with a 54-38 victory, to improve to 11-5 and improved their chances of finishing 4th in Class B North, and picking up the final automatic bid to the Cross Insurance Center and Tourney 2016.

The Ellsworth Eagles shocked Orono 40-38 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth on Wednesday, January 27th, as Bryce Harmon dished the ball to Bruce St. Peter who banked it off the glass with no time left. St. Peter had taken a charge, and the Eagles went the length of the court with 8 seconds left.

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team defeated Hermon 50-33 in Hermon on Tuesday, January 26th. MDI and Hermon were tied at 8-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Kelsey Shaw, who was selected the Big East Girl's Co-Player of the Week today, scored 6 points for the Trojans and Keely McConomy had 2 points for MDI...

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team defeated Presque Isle Saturday afternoon, January 23rd at Katsiaficas Gymnasium, 71-46 and have now won 3 in a row.

The Ellsworth Eagles Girl's Basketball Team was nipped in double overtime on Saturday, January 23rd, falling to the Presque Isle Wildcats 50-46 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team has lost only 3 games this season, one of them to Caribou on December 30th 60-57, and the Trojans got their revenge on Saturday, January 23rd, defeating the Caribou Vikings 69-42 in Bar Harbor.

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team picked up a big win over Caribou on Friday, January 22nd in Ellsworth at Katsiaficas Gymnasium, defeating the Vikings 46-29. Ellsworth led 8-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and then took a 26-13 lead over Caribou at the end of the 1st Half, outscoring the Vikings 18-9 in the 2nd Quarter...

The MDI Boys defeated Presque Isle 59-41 on Friday, January 22nd in Bar Harbor, improving to 10-3 on the season.

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team was looking forward to Friday, January 22nd, ever since December 31st when they were embarrassed up in Presque Isle, losing to the Wildcats 80-57. The Trojans got their revenge, defeating Presque Isle 47-41 in front of a large crowd at Bernard Parady Gymnasium.
