The Ellsworth Eagles were the #10 seed, with a record of 9-9 and traveled to Waldoboro Tuesday, February 11th to play the #7 seed, the Medomak Valley Panthers, the defending Class B Eastern Maine Champions. It was also a battle of a Big East Team against a KVAC Team, in a battle to help settle which was the dominant conference. The winner would advance to play Camden Hills, the #2 seed Friday, February 14th in the 2nd game to be played at the Cross Insurance Center.

At the end of the1st Half, Ellsworth led, 27-20. Nick Bagley drained 2 long 3-pointers and added a basket to pace Ellsworth with 8 points in the quarter. Griffin Nightingale added 5 points including a 3 pointer. Williamson had a 3-pointer for Medomak Valley.

In the 3rd Quarter, Ellsworth got the lead up to 10 points, but at the end of the 3rd Quarter, they led by 3 points, 36-33, as Medmomak Valley outscored Ellsworth 13-7. DePatsy had 7 points including a 3-pointer for the Panthers, and Zach Little had 6 points. Bruce St. Peter had 4 points for Ellsworth, and the Eagles went 3-4 from the free throw line.

In the 4th Quarter, the scored was tied 44-44 with 1 minute left, and it looked like Medomak Valley was going to play for the last shot. DePatsy took a shot, and Ellsworth rebounded it. Griffin Nightingale took a long 3-pointer with 3.3 seconds left, and Ellsworth came away with the 47-44 victory. In the 4th Quarter, Nick Bagley drained two more 3-pointers for Ellsworth. DePatsy added 7 points for Medomak Valley.

Ellsworth was led by Nick Bagley with 16 points, including 4 3-pointers. Steven Mahon had 10 points, while Bruce St. Peter and Griffin Nightingale each added 8 points. Ellsworth was 5-6 from the free throw line. Medomak Valley was led by Nick DePatsy with a game high 18 points including a 3-pointer. Zach Little had 8 points and Michah Willamson had 7 for Medomak Valley. The Panthers were 7-7 from the free throw line.

With the victory, Ellsworth will now play Camden Hills Friday, February 14th at 6:30. Ellsworth's record improved to 10-9, while Medomak Valley's season ends, with their record at 10-9.
