October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you drive past Ellsworth City Hall at night starting on Tuesday, October 1st and through the end of the month, look up! You'll find it is lit up pink!

The Ellsworth Police Department announced the promotion of 3 officers on Monday, September 30th.

This Thursday night, October 3rd, the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and Darling's Chevrolet will hold "Lap 2" of the pantry's major 2024 fundraiser, Darling's Drives Out Hunger. The event will be held at Darling's Chevrolet in Ellsworth and will feature live and silent auction items, raffles, live music, cash bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Congratulations to all who decorated their storefronts or windows for Autumn Gold 2024. Driving around Ellsworth it was nice to see all the decorations. This year's theme was "A Pirates Life for Me!".

After successfully raising $40,000 the Hopeful sign was installed on the former JB Atlantic building on Main Street in Ellsworth on Friday, September 27th.

You are invited to the Ellsworth Rotary Club's Autumn Gold Blueberry Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning September 28th. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m.

The Ellsworth Police and Fire Departments invite you to a fun and family-friendly and FREE night out at the Ellsworth Walmart parking lot on October 1st from 3 to 7 p.m.

If you were on Main Street in downtown Ellsworth on Tuesday afternoon, September 24th you could be excused if you did a double-take at about 4:15 in the afternoon. Because you would have witnessed a group of mud covered runners, running down the sidewalk chanting E-X-C!
