Here are the Friends in Action Lunch Menus for August 2026!

The lunches are served at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth, every Tuesday and Thursday, across from Knowlton Park. The cost of the lunches are $5.00.

The lunches are nutritious, delicious, inexpensive and more importantly a chance for seniors to get together, where it's cool and in an inviting setting and meet new friends or catch up with old friends! Plus, you can find out more about Friends in Action and the programs that they offer!

The lunches have proven to be so popular that Friends in Action is asking that you let them know by Monday at 4:30 p.m. that you will be attending the Tuesday lunch and by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday if you will be attending the Thursday lunch, so that way they have enough food prepared and place settings set. You can either let them know at the lunch or by giving them a call at 664-6016.

Tuesday, August 4 - Oven Roasted Chicken, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans, Watermelon and Dessert
Thursday, August 6 - Turkey and Gravy over Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Peaches and Dessert
Tuesday, August 11 - BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Applesauce and Dessert
Thursday, August 13 - Chicken Alfredo over Penne, Broccoli, Garlic Roll, Tropical Fruit and Dessert
Tuesday August 18 - Creamy Chicken and Rice Casserole, Steamed Carrots, Dinner Roll, Mixed Fruit and Dessert
Thursday, August 20 - Country Fired Chicken with Country Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Pears and Dessert
Tuesday, August 25 - Chicken Parmesan over Spaghetti, Italian Green Beans, Garlic Bread, Mandarin Oranges and Dessert
Thursday, August 27 - Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy, Buttered Egg Noodles, Glazed Carrots, Cinnamon Apples and Dessert.
