The Hammond Lumber Riverhawks -White Junior American Legion Team beat the Trenton Acadians 5-3 in the Winner's Bracket on Sunday afternoon, August 2nd at the Maine American Junior Legion State Tournament at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.

The Acadians made 3 errors while the Riverhawks-White team made 5 errors.

Jack Kowalski earned the win for the Riverhawks-White pitching 6.0 innings and allowing 3 hits and 1 run. He struck out 12 and walked 4. Noah White closed out the game pitching the 7th innings and allowing 2 hits and 2 runs.

Collin Mehrhoff and Michael Carroll each had a double for the Riverhawks-White team.  Noah White and Joey Newell each had a single.

The Riverhawks-White team sole 4 bases. Alton Potter, Drake Nash, Michael Carroll and Noah White each swiped a base.

Wyatt Young started on the mound for the Acadians. He pitched 5.1 innings allowing 4 hits and 5 runs. He struck out 11 and walked 4. Garrett Umphrey retired the final 2 outs.

Coleman Welch had 2 of the Acadians' 5 hits. Spencer Young had a double. Noah Grindal and Bryce Wood each had a single.

Gentry Cox had a stolen base.

The Hammond Lumber Riverhawks-White Team will play in the finals on Monday, August 3rd. If they win the 5 p.m. game, they will be the State Champions. If they lose, then there will be a winner-take-all Championship Game at 7:30 p.m.

The Trenton Acadians will play the the winner of the Central Maine Hurricanes-Skowhegan Junior Legion game at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night, August 2nd at Mansfield Stadium.
