The Trenton Acadians Junior Legion Baseball  Team beat the Fairfield PAL 4-0 on Saturday, August 1st in their 1st game of the double-elimination Maine American Legion Baseball Junior Legion State Tournament at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.

Jagger Huffman pitched a complete game, allowing just 3 hits. He struck out and wlked 3.

Brayden Pooler, Spencer Young, Charlie Sullivan, Noah Grindal and Max Eckenfelder each singled for the Acadians. Grindal drove in a run.

The Acadians stole 5 bases with Pooler, Grindal, Gentry Cox and Spencer and Wyatt Young each stealing a base.

Fairfield PAL committed 2 errors while the Acadians played error-free baseball.

Ben Thomas pitched the completed game for Fairfield PAL. He allowed 6 hits and 4 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 2 and walked 4.

Thomas had a double. Hayden Lochkart and Jackson Dangler each had a single.

Fairfield PAL was eliminated from the tournament, losing 6-1 to the Central Maine Hurricanes Saturday night.

The Acadians will play the Hammond Lumber Riverhawks White Team on Sunday, August 2nd at 1 p.m. at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.
