After losing to the Hammond Lumber Riverhawks White Junior Legion Team 5-3 on Sunday afternoon, the Trenton Acadians eliminated the Central Maine Hurricanes by a score of 15-0 on Sunday night.

The Acadians wasted no time, retiring the Hurricanes in order in the top of the 1st inning and then sending 12 batters to the plate, scoring 8 runs, 7 of them with 2 out in the bottom of the 1st inning. The Acadians then sent 11 batters to the plate in the bottom of the 2nd inning, scoring 7 runs to lead 15-0 at the end of the 2nd inning.

Trey Keene picked up the win, pitching 2.0 innings, allowing just a hit and striking out 1. Tysen Mase pitched an inning striking out 1.0 and Bryce Wood pitched the final 2.0 innings allowing a hit and striking out 2.

The Acadians banged out 11 hits. Charlie Sullivan had 2 hits. Wyatt Jenkins had a pair of hits including a double. Brayden Pooler had a double. Coleman Welch, Spencer Young, Wyatt Young, Noah Grindal, Jagger Huffman, and Max Eckenfelder each had a single.

The Acadians had 5 stolen bases. Sullivan, Welch, Eckenfelder, Jenkins and Wyatt Young each had a stolen base.

Cameron Beaster had a double for the Hurricanes. Bennett Pottle had a single.

The Acadians will play the Hammond Lumber Riverhawks White Team on Monday, August 3rd at 5 p.m. at Mansfield Stadium. If the Riverhawks win, they will be the State Champion. If the Acadians beat the Riverhawks, then they will play a winner-take-all game at 7:30 p.m.
