Heading out Friday May 12th into Saturday May 13th? You should never be drinking and driving but definitely not this Friday night May 12th as the Ellsworth Police Department in conjunction with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints.

Using funding supplied by the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety, sobriety checkpoints will occur between 9 PM on Friday, May 12th through Saturday, May 13th at 2 AM.  According to the Ellsworth Police Department's Facebook Page checkpoints will take place along Main Street and Routes 1 and 3.

Drive safely! Remember not to drink and drive, or text and drive! If you are going out designate a driver!
