Boil Water Issued for Certain Streets in Ellsworth Lifted [UPDATE]

Update: - Friday August 7th - The Boil Water Order issued for streets in Ellsworth after Thursday's water main break has been lifted. Water quality testing has confirmed the water is safe, and normal water use may now resume.

Following the water main break on Grant Street in Ellsworth on Thursday morning, August 6th, the Ellsworth Water Department has issued a Boil Water Order for all homes and business on Grant Street, Liberty Street, Chapel Street, Willow Street and Youngs Avenue in Ellsworth until further notice.

Everyone should boil all water for at least 5 minutes before drinking, making ice cubes, washing foods, brushing teeth or in any other activity involving consumption of water.
