The Boston Red Sox lost another 1-run extra innings game, falling to the Los Angeles Angels 4-3 in 10 innings on Tuesday night. Boston is now 4-7 in extra innings and they have lost a major league leading 17 games by 1 run.

Boston has played a total of 23 1-run games and are 6-17.

On Tuesday night Brayan Bello started for the Red Sox and went 6.0 innings, allowing 3 runs and struck out 4 while giving up 7 hits and walking 2 batters.

Greg Weissert pitched the 7th inniing, and Garret Whitlock the 8th, allowing 1 hit. Aroldis Chapman pitched the 9th. Zack Kelly, called up from Worcester earlier in the day, took the loss when Zach Neto scored on a double-play in the 10th inning. He's now 1-2 on the season.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 3-5 for Boston. He had a double and hit his 5th homer of the season, a 2-run homer int he 6th inning that tied the game.

Jarren Duran was 2-5 with a pair of doubles.

Rafael Devers, Trevor Story, Kristian Campbelle and Connor Wong each singled.

Boston again had another game with double-digit strikeouts as they had 10 in the game and left 11 runners on base. Boston was 1-13 with runners in scoring position.

The Red Sox are now 29-34. They play the final game of their 3-game series with the Angels, Wednesday afternoon. The pregame starts at 12:35 with the 1st pitch at 1:35 on WDEA AM 1370.

Boston is off on Thursday and then will open a 3-game series with the Yankees in New York on Friday June 6th.
