The Trenton Acadians Senior Legion Team beat the Roderick-Crosby Post 28 Flyers 6-2 on Tuesday, July 21st in the Senior Legion State Qualifier.

Trent Goss started on the mound for the Acadians and pitched 6.2 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He struck out 10 and walked 2. Deegan Scott came on to close out the game but allowed 2 hits and walked 2 allowing a run, without recording the final out. Jackson Barry earned the save, retiring the final batter.

Goss was 3-3 at the plate, with a double and drove in a pair of runs. Hollis Grindal was 2-3 with a pair of doubles and drove in 2 runs. Dawson Curtis had a double. Logan Crowley, Jackson Barry and Brayden Sekulich each had a single. Ryan Winchester had a pair of hits.

Trent Lovewell started on the mound for the Flyers He allowed 8 hits and 5 runs in 2.1 innings, striking out and walking 1. Bryce Wilcox pitched 2.2 innings of relief, allowing just a hit and striking out 2. Killian Pillsbury pitched the 6th inning allowing 3 hits and 1 run.

Parker Smith drove in both runs for the Flyers, going 2-4 with a home run. Dylan Hamlin had a double. Elijah Seaberg was 2-4. Pillsbury had a single.

The Flyers will play Oxford Hills in the Loser's Bracket on Wednesday, July 22nd at 5:30 p.m. in Harrison.

The Acadians will take on the Post 8 Downeast Cowboys in the Winner's Bracket at 5:30 p.m. in Bucksport on Wednesday, July 22nd.
