The Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-1 on Sunday, July 19th for their 13th straight win to go a season-high 2 games above .500

The 13-game winning streak is tied for the 2nd longest streak in team history (1948) and is behind only a 15-game streak in 1945. They have won 18 of their last 20 games and are 21-5 in their last 26 games.

Sonny Gray started on the mound, picking up the win and is now 12-1. He pitched 6.0 innings, allowing 5 hits and a run on an inside-the-park homer. He struck out 5 and walked 4.

Willson Contreras was 1-3 with a 2-run homer in the 5th inning. The homer was his 22nd of the season.

Andruw Monasterio was 1-3 with a double and run batted in.
