Red Sox Beat Orioles To Stretch Winning Streak To 14 Games

The Boston Red Sox extended their winning streak to 14 games on Monday night, July 20th with a 6-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The win snapped the O's 7-game winning streak and moved Boston to a season-best 3 games over .500

Caleb Durbin hit the game-winning home run, a solo shot in the 8th inning. It was his 10th of the season.

Willson Contreras was 3-4 with a double and drove in 2 runs.

Wilyer Abreu, who was selected the American League Player of the Week, was 2-4 with a double and drove in a run.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 1-4 with a game-tying RBI single in the 7th inning.

Payton Tolle started on the mound and went 5.2 innings, allowing 8 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 9 and walked 1.

Garrett Whitlock picked up the win and is 5-1 pitching the 8th inning. Aroldis Chapman earned his 22nd save, pitching the 9th inning and getting the final out with runners at 2nd and 3rd base.
