The forecast for heavy rain and thunderstorms for Saturday, September 25th has resulted in the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce deciding to cancel the Autumn Gold Car Show at Home Depot and the Union River Boat Rides at Harbor Park which were scheduled for Saturday.

Gretchen Wilson, the Executive Director for the Chamber said

“The weather forecast of heavy rains, and thunderstorms are not conducive to being on the water, or having your vintage car out in the elements. We have been watching the forecast, as well as taking calls from many of our car show participants, and it does not look like a good weekend for either of these events.”

Most Autumn Gold events WILL take place as scheduled including live music on Main street Friday night with the Crown Vics at 6:30pm.

Other events Saturday include an open house at many businesses, including NAPA's 40th Anniversary Celebration, Craft Fairs at both the Mill Mall and Maine Coast Mall,  Autumn Gold Train Rides, Hancock County ‘mini’ Relay for Life, a Disney Trivia Night at the Grand and much more.

Sales and specials at businesses  round out the fun in Ellsworth this weekend.

You can also purchase your Jumbo Jackpot ticket to win $2500 in cash.  Tickets are $10 each and only 500 will be sold.
