Pedroia Back to DL – Poyner and Travis Recalled

The Boston Red Sox placed 2b Dustin Pedrioa back on the disabled list, Saturday June 2nd, retroactive to May 30th. Pedroia began the season on the DL and was reinstated on May 25th appearing in 3 games. He is listed as having "left knee inflammation".

The Red Sox recalled left handed pitcher Bobby Poyner. This is his 4th stint with the Red Sox this year wher he has allowed 2 runts on 12 hits over 9.2 innings.

The Red Sox also recalled 1B Sam Travis. For Pawtucket this year Travis is batting.220 with 4 homers. Last year for Boston Travis hit .263 with 6 doubles in 33 games.
