Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2025

It's a girl and her name is Freya!

 Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital is delighted to announce the community’s first baby of the year.  Freya Arlene, daughter of Cecilia Arlene McCoy and Isaac Robert Curtis of Calais, was the first baby born at Maine Coast Hospital in 2025. Freya was born at 8:43 a.m. on January 1, 2025, weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces.

The staff in the Dixon Family Birthing Center honored the baby and her parents with an amazing basket filled with treats donated from The Bud Connection, Hairbenders Studio and Spa, Union River Book and Toy, Elizabeth’s, Pat’s Pizza, Governor’s, Zi Photography, Bangor Savings Bank, Zeppa’s Pizza, and The Meadow of Blue Hill.
