Franklin Street Extension to be Closed Effective Monday May 22 as Parklet Reopens

Motorists driving on Main Street in Ellsworth won't be able to cut through on the Franklin Street extension to City Hall starting on Monday, May 22nd. The Parklet, which opened in May 2021 will reopen for the season. The Parklet will remain until October 16th.

This year, visitors to the Parklet may notice a modified set up on the western side. A limited area will be sectioned off to accommodate construction for the adjacent building. The sidewalk will remain open.

Those trying to access City Hall or the Municipal Parking Lot can do so through the State Street, School Street to Store Street, or Church Street entrances.
