Want to join the Ellsworth Rotary Club? They are holding a special meeting Tuesday night, October 8th at 5:30 p.m.  at China Hill Restaurant in Ellsworth for prospective members.

The Rotary Club is a membership organization that focuses on service, both in the community and throughout the world. As a service organization, the Rotary Club of Ellsworth raises funds for local community organizations and scholarships and provides volunteers for community projects. Club members participate in food drives for Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, blueberry pancake breakfasts, bike rodeo, gifting experience, turkey drive, and the holiday parade, among many other projects.
As part of Rotary International, the local club has also raised funds for international projects, such as providing wheelchairs for disabled individuals in Panama and other Central American countries.
A major goal of Rotary is to eliminate polio throughout the world. The Ellsworth club raises funds for this effort throughout the year.
The Rotary Club of Ellsworth meets weekly. Membership is by invitation, with members from a variety of backgrounds. Membership Night gives those who are interested in Rotary more information about the organization as a whole and the Ellsworth club.
