Ellsworth Nips Washington Academy 3-2

The Ellsworth Eagle's Volleyball Team nipped Washington Academy on Wednesday, September 16th at Ellsworth High School. They won the match 3-2 but the scores were so close...25-22, 16-25, 26-24, 20-25, and 16-14. It truly was a great match testing both sides stamina and mental toughness!

Ellsworth rode the  amazing services  of Rachel Bunker for the win! Ellsworth scored 25 points on her service and she had 12 aces.Rachel also had 15 kills at the net!

Sammy Mason had 12 aces and 10 kills. saved the team pretty much. Amazing serves. 25 points off her serving and she had 12 aces. Sammy mason had ten kills.

Delaney Sargent had 34 serve receive passes and 18 digs.

Avery Jester had 3 blocks and Lexi Hennigan led the Eagles  with 14 assists.

Ellsworth is now 2-1 and plays host to Machias on Thursday, September 17th at 5 PM and Thornton Academy on Saturday the 19th at 5:30 PM

Washington Academy is now 1-3 and plays host to MDI on Thursday September 17th at 6:30 PM
