
2nd Annual Seed Swap at the Ellsworth Public Library Saturday March 15
Do you have a green thumb? Are you looking forward to planting this Spring? You are invited to the Ellsworth Public Library for their 2nd Annual Seed Swap on Saturday March 15th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
You're invited to bring seeds to exchange and take something new and unexpected home to your gardens. All attendees will receive a free surprise packet of seeds courtesy of the Ellsworth Public Library. Volunteers from the Ellsworth Garden Club and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be on hand to help answer questions.
For the kids, they can attend the Sleepy Seeds Storytime from 10 to 11 a.m. Miss Jean and a special guest will talk about the magic of seeds and dream of gardens blooming in the summer sum. After the book reading there will be a seed planting activitiy.
And finally there will be a Friends Gardening Book Sale from 10 a.m. to Noon. You'll be able to shop hundreds of gently used fiction and nonfiction books, books for kids and teens, DVD's and puzzles! All items are for sale by donation, unless otherwise noted. Cash and Checks accepted only. Proceeds support library programs and services.
The Ellsworth Public Library is open Monday and Tuesday 9 to 5, Wednesday and Thursday 9 to 6, Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 9-2. The Library is closed on Sunday.
