The Trenton Junior Acadians no-hit the Hammond Lumber Riverhawks Gray team on Thursday night, June 25th, winning 18-0 in a mercy-rule shortened 4 inning game.

Spencer Young pitched the 1st 3 innings for the Acadians, striking out 3 and walking 1. Gentry Cox pitched the final inning.

The Acadians took advantage of 15 walks on the night, while banking out 9 hits.

Coeleman Welch was 2-2 with a pair of runs batted in. Trey Keene was 2-3 with a double and run batted in. Gentry Cos was 1-2 with a double and drove in a pair of runs. Wyatt Young, Charlie Sullivan, Noah Grindal and Skyler Carter each had a single.

Sullivan, Welch and Grindal each stole a base for the Acadians.

Hammon Lumber used 4 pitchers. Combined they allowed 9 hits and 18 runs, 17 of which were earned. They walked 15 and struck out 6.

Trenton is now 3-1. They will play on the road in a doubleheader against  Roderick-Crosby Post 28 on Monday June 29th with games at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Hammond Lumber Riverhawks Gray is now 1-4. They play at home against Fairfield PAL on Monday, June 29th at 5 p.m.
