
Trenton Acadians Beat CM Hurricanes 11-1
The Trenton Acadians Senior Legion Team improved to 14-2 on the season, with a 11-1 win over the CM Hurricanes on Monday, July 13th.
Logan Crowley led the Acadians, both on the mound and at the plate. He pitched 5 innings in the mercy-rule shortened game. He allowed 3 hits and 1 run, striking out 8 and walking 4
At the plate Crowley was 3-4, with a double and home run, driving in 3 runs.
Dawson Curtis was 1-3 with a 3-run homer.
Brayden Sekulich and Evan Haskell each had a pair of hits, with Haskell driving in 2 runs and Sekulich a run.
Hollis Grindal, Joey Beal and Luke Horne each doubled. Trent Goss had a single.
The Acadians stole 4 bases, with Haskell, Grindall, Crowley and Horne each swiping a bag.
Ty Bernier had the lone hit for the Hurricanes.
Liam Martin started on the mound for the Hurricanes. He pitched 1.2 innings allowing 2 hits and 4 runs, striking out 2 and walking 3. Brandon Frowery pitched 2.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 5 runs. He struck out 1. Parker Grant retired a batter allowing 3 hits and 2 runs.
The Hurricanes are 3-9. They will play in Waterville against the 36ers on Wednesday, July 15th at 5 p.m.
The Acadians are 14-2. They are scheduled to host Capital Area-Barber on Tuesday July 14th at 5:30 p.m.
