
Trenton Acadians Fall to Oxford Hills Legion 7-4
The Trenton Acadians allowed 5 runs in the 1st inning and 2 in the 2nd inning, committing 4 errors in the game and fell to the Oxford Hills Legion Team 7-4 on Wednesday for their 3rd loss of the season.
Dawson Curtis started on the mound for the Acadians and pitched 2.0 innings. He allowed 6 hits and 7 runs, 3 of which were earned. He struck out 2 and walked 3. Wyl Renwick pitched the final 4.0 innings, allowing just 2 hits, striking out and walking 1.
Curtis, Trent Goss and Luke Horne each had a pair of singles, as the Acadians outhit Oxford Hills 10-8. Lucas Crowley, Evan Haskell, Joey Beal and Brayden Sekulich each had a single.
Joey Beal stole a base for the Acadians.
Logan Norris picked up the win for Oxford Hills. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 9 and walked 3. Cassius Thibeault closed out the game, pitching the final 2.1 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 runs, striking out 3.
Norris helped himself at the plate going 2-2, driving in 2 runs. Jacoby Parrott and Gabe Damon each were 2-2 with a pair of runs driven in. Jacoby Turcotte and Jackson Stack each had a hit.
Gabe Damon stole a pair of bases.
Oxford Hills is 10-2. They will host the CM Hurricanes on Thursday, July 16th at 5:30 p.m. in Waterville.
The Acadians are now 15-3and have finished the regular season and wait for the playoffs.
