The Trenton Acadians broke a 5-5 scoring 2 runs in the bottom for the 5th inning and adding an insurance run in the 6th inning to beat the Dunkin Comrades on Wednesday, June 24th in Senior Legion baseball.

Logan Crowley, batting lead-off lead the Acadians offensively going 3-3 with a home run and driving in 3 runs. He also walked and scored 4 times, every time he was at the plate. He also stole a pair of bases.

Hollis Grindal was 2-2 with a pair of runs batted in. Dawson Curtis, Trent Goss, Jackson Barry, Luke Horne and Eli MacDonnell each had a single.

Crowley picked up the win pitching 5.2 innings, allowing 7 hits and 5 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 8 and walked 3. Deegan Scott picked up the save, pitching the final 1.1 innings. He gave up 3 hits and struck out and walked 1.

Ian Boudreau led the Comrades offensively. He was 3-4 with 3 runs knocked in. Aiden Ouellette was 2-3. Kyle Johnson hit a solo home run. Gavin Glanville-True, Ethan Sproul, Lucas Rutherford and Jonas Gilley each singled.

Ouellette swiped a base.

On the mound for the Dunkin Comrades, Kyle Johnson started and went 3.0 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, striking out 7 while walking 4. Jude Geghan-Chavez pitched an inning and was tagged with 3 runs, allowing 3 hits and striking out and walking 1.  Alex Kearns pitched the 5th inning allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, walking 1. Gavin Glanville-True pitched the 6th inning allowing a hit and 1 run, while striking out 1.

Trenton is now 2-1. They host the Post 8 Downeast Captains on Thursday, June 25th at 5:30 p.m.

The Comrades are now 2-1 They host the Capital Area-Shuman Legion Team on Thursday, June 25th at 7:30 p.m.
