Scam Calls from 207-244-3781

We are receiving numerous reports of phone calls targeting local residents coming from 207-244-3781, a reported Southwest Harbor telephone number.

Calls from this number and similar numbers are telling callers who answer their phone that their credit card is being charged over $200.00 and that to reverse the charge or request a refund you need to call a number.

These calls are scams. Remember you should never give your credit or debit card to an individual that you don't know, and specifically someone who is calling you.

If you do mistakenly give your card information out, you should contact your bank immediately. If you do receive a scam call you should report this to your local police department
