Local companies are banding together to re-open the Seawall Road, which was heavily damaged this past winter.

Beginning on Monday, July 22nd, John Goodwin Jr. Construction, Doug Gott and Sons, BFP Trucking, Rings Paving, GT Outhouses and Northeast Paving will be banding together to clear and rebuild the Seawall Road. These 6 companies are donating time and materials.

To insure that the road will be open as soon as possible, the Seawall Road will be closed to pedestrian traffic beginning on Monday, July 22nd.

In speaking to Colton Sanborn from John Goodwin Jr. Construction and Tim Gott from Doug Gott and Sons they told me that New England Paving will be providing the Hot Top and Ring's Paving will be placing the Hot Top Mix. Goodwin's will be removing the rocks and hot top and rebuilding the culvert crossing. Doug Gott and Son's will be responsible for providing  the crushed gravel, grading and compacting. Mindy Terry from GT Outhouses told me they will be providing 2 porta-potties and servicing them throughout the project.

It is estimated that these 6 companies will be donating between $100,000 - $150,000 in time and materials to reopen this road. These companies are making these donations in the busiest part of the construction season.

The Maine DOT will be working on the area in the winter/spring.
