Think Pink! 2024 Southwest Harbor Flamingo Festival [PHOTOS]

Rainy skies cleared for the 2024 Southwest Harbor Flamingo Festival on Saturday July 13th. The dominant color of the day was pink and there was a great crowd for the parade and craft fair and children's fair on the grounds of the Harbor House and the Pemetic Green.

There was a dunk tank, bounce house, dinosaur and lots of children's games.  This year's theme was "Summer Games in Southwest Harbor" in honor of the Summer Olympics

The Festival continues on Sunday, July 14th and concludes on Monday evening with the Flash in the Pans! Steel Band

Sunday July 14

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Southwest Harbor Public Library Book Sale at the American Legion Hall, 22 Village Green Way.
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Craft Fair with over 40 crafters
• 1 to 3 p.m. Open House at the Southwest Harbor Historical Society Meeting House on the Seawall Road.
• 5 to 7 p.m. - Polo and Yacht Club Cocktail Part at Causeway Club Barn $50 per person includes 2 Drink Tickets, Hors d'ouevres and dancing to the "Seal Harbor Boys". Tickets are available for purchase at the Harbor House or online

Monday July 15

• 7:30 p.m. Flash in the Pans! Steel Drum Concert on the Pemetic Green. Fundraiser for the Harbor House. $5.00 suggested donation per person.
