Tip-a-Cop Raises Just Under $2800 in 2 Hours on Monday Night for Special Olympics [PHOTOS]

Talk about a recipe for success! Start with a generous Downeast hungry audience. Combine with the food from Helen's Restaurant in Ellsworth. Mix in a willing Ellsworth Police Department topped with volunteers from surrounding agencies. Cook for 2 hours. The result... 2,758.58 raised for Special Olympics!

That was the case on Monday night, as Tip-a-Cop was held at Helen's Restaurant in Ellsworth.

The Restaurant was packed on Monday night with hungry and generous diners.

Thanks to all involved, both the regular servers, the volunteer servers, Helen's Restaurant and especially all those who came in and ate and tipped so generously!
