Red Sox-Rays Game Notes March 11

The Boston Red Sox take on the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday night, March 11th with the pregame starting at 6:30 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.

The Red Sox are 8-10-2 in the Spring, but are 4-1 in the last 5 games and have won 3 games in a row. Yesterday, the Red Sox beat St. Louis 3-2. Kevin Pillar and Christian Vazquez hit back to back doubles in the 4th inning and took the lead on a 2-run single by Jantzen White in the 6th inning.

Relievers Josh Taylor (1 inning), Colten Brewer (2.2 innings) and Robinson Leyer (1.1 innings) combined for 9 strikeouts, while not allowing a run or a walk in 6 innings of relief.

Tonight Eduardo Rodriguez is scheduled to make his 3rd start of the season. This Spring he's pitched 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, on 5 hits while striking out 10.
