Red Sox Win 5th Straight Game Beating Nationals 6-3 [VIDEO]

The surging Boston Red Sox won their 5th straight game, beating the Washington Nationals 6-3 on Monday night, June 29th at Fenway Park. Boston has now won 6 of their last 7 games and 8 of their last 11 games, since June 19th.

Willson Contreras hit a 3-run home run in the 1st inning, his 18th of the season. He was later ejected from the game for arguing a called check-swing strikeout.

Caleb Durbin hit a solo home run in the 1st inning, his 7th of the season.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 2-4 with singles in the 1st and 2nd innings.

Anthony Siegler was 2-3 with a double and stolen base, and now has a 7-game hitting streak.

On the mound, Ranger Suarez picked up the win to improve to 4-3. He pitched 6 innings allowing 3 runs, striking out 8 and walking 1.

Garrett Whitlock picked up his 1st save of the season.
