The Red Sox optioned right handed pitcher Noe Ramirez to Triple-A Pawtucket. They also reassigned outfielders Brian Bogusevic, Rusney Castillo and Allen Craig as well as infielder Matt Dominguez, catcher Jake DePew and right handed pitcher Hector Velazquez to their Minor League Camp.
The Red Sox still have 42 players in camp, with 34 of them on the 40 man roster. The Red Sox need to open the season with 26 players on the roster, so 16 need to be reassigned, optioned or placed on the Disabled List prior to the opening of the season on April 3rd.
