The Boston Red Sox beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 on Saturday, August 15th as Sonny Gray picked up his career-best 15th win and Wilyer Abreu homered for the 22nd time this season.

Gray was dominant, pitching 7.0 innings and holding the Pirates to just 6 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 1, lowering his ERA to 2.65. He's now 15-3 this season.

Erik Miller pitched the 8th inning, striking out 1, and Aroldis Chapman struck out 2 in the 9th inning.

Abreu was 3-4 with the solo home run and a pair of doubles.

Andruw Monasterio was 1-4 with a double and drove in 2 runs in the 9th inning, as the Red Sox added 3 insurance runs.

Masataka Yoshida had a double, but was forced from the game with hamstring-tightness as he ran to 2nd.

Boston was a frustrating 2-11 with runners in-scoring-position.
