Red Sox Drop 5th Straight Losing 6-4 to Blue Jays [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox lost their 5th straight game, losing to the Toronto Blue Jays 6-4 as Toronto scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to break a 1-1 tie, on Wednesday, August 12th in Toronto.

4 of the Blue Jays 5 runs were unearned in the 8th inning, as Toronto took advantage of a Willson Contreras dropped foul ball pop-up.

Ranger Suarez pitched well for Boston. He went 5.0 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits. He struck out 2 and walked 1. Justin Slaten pitched the 6th inning, striking out and walking 1. Erik Miller pitched the 7th, striking out 2. Tyron Guerrero started the 8thand didn't retire a batter. He allowed 3 hits and 5 runs, 4 unearned, walking 2. Alec Gamboa came on and allowed 2 hits before retiring the side.

Willson Contreras hit his 24th homer for Boston, a solo shot in the 5th inning.

Caleb Durbin was 2-4 with  run batted in. Jarren Duran hit a double, driving in a run. Wilyer Abreu had a double. Andruw Monasterio had single and drove in a run.

Boston was outhit 12-8. The Red Sox were 2-6 with runners in scoring position and left 5 runners on base.
