Adley Rutschman Debuts for Boston but Red Sox Lose 4th Straight Falling to Toronto 5-3 [VIDEO]

Newly acquired catcher, Adley Rutschman made his Red Sox debut Tuesday night, going 1-3 and walking twice, but Boston lost their 4th straight game, falling to Toronto 5-3.

Boston led 3-1 before Toronto scored 2 unearned runs in the 5th inning to tie the game 3-3. The Blue Jays scored the game-winner on a fielder's choice in the 6th inning and then added an insurance run in the 8th inning.

Boston did homer twice. Wilyer Abreu hit a solo homer, his 21st in the 4th inning and Ceddanne Rafaela hit a solo homer, his 16th in the 5th inning.

Masataka Yoshida had a double.

The Red Sox were 0-7 with runners in scoring position and left 9 runners on base.

Patrick Sandoval started on the mound, and went 6.0 innings, taking the loss and is now 1-1. He gave up 8 hits and 4 runs, 2 earned. He struck out 4 and walked 3.
