The Boston Red Sox snapped their 5-game losing streak beating the Toronto Blue Jays 7-0 on Thursday afternoon, August 13th behind Payton Tolle's 8-inning 2-hitter and Caleb Durbin's grand slam.

Tolle was absolutely magnificent on the mound. He pitched 8.0 innings and allowed just 2 hits, striking out 4 and walking 2. Tolle needed just 91 pitches, improving his record to 8-6.

Greg Weissert recalled from Worcester prior to the game when Garrett Whitlock was placed on the 15 Day Injured List, pitched the 9th inning, striking out and walking 1.

Boston led 1-0 until Durbin hit his grand slam in the 8th inning. It was his 12th homer of the season. Durbin ended the afternoon, 3-5 with 5 runs batted in.

Willson Contreras had a double and run batted in, in the 9th inning.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 2-4 and Masataka Yoshida was 2-3.

Boston banged out 10 hits.
