Red Sox Beat Rays 8-3

The Boston Red Sox snapped their 2 game losing streak beating the Tampa Bay Rays 8-3 on Friday night, July 7th. Coupled with the New York Yankees loss to Milwaukee, the Red Sox are now 4.5 games in front of the Yankees, in 1st place.

Drew Pomeranz picked up his 9th win of the season going 6.0 innings allowing 6 hits, 5 walks and striking out 6. He gave up 2 earned runs.

Dustin Pedroia, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Hanley Ramirez each blasted home runs for the Red Sox.

Pedroia was 2-5, Ramirez was 3-4 and Devin Marrero was 2-4.
