The Boston Red Sox refused to lose on Thursday night, beating the Chicago White Sox 12-11 in 13 innings at Fenway Park. Boston now has won 8 straight games, 10 of their last 11 games and are a season-high 12 games over .500. Boston is 26-3 since July 3rd and 31-5 since June 25th.

Boston came back from deficits of 5-2, 7-5, 9-7, 10-9 and 11-10.

Caleb Durbin who was 3-6 with a double and 3 runs batted in drove in the game-winner in the 13th inning.

Anthony Seigler was 2-4 with a double and 3 runs batted in. He hit a game-tying 2-run double in the 4th inning and a game-tying sacrifice fly in the 10th inning.

Andruw Monasterio was 2-6 with a pair of doubles and drove in 2 runs. He extended his career-long-on-base streak to 18 games.

Wilyer Abreu was 1-5 with a game-tying RBI single in the 9th inning.

Connor Wong was 2-3 with a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning, his 3rd of the season.

Ranger Suarez pitched 3.0 innings, allowing 3 hits and 3 runs, striking out 3 and walking 2. He has thrown fewer than 5.0 innings in 4 consecutive starts, including 3 since coming off the injured list on July 26th.

The Red Sox used 9 pitchers. Brayan Bello picked up the win and is 4-6, pitching the 12th and 13th innings.

Boston is now 63-51. They are in 3rd place in the AL East, 5 games behind 1st place Tampa Bay and just 1.5 games behind the Yankees. The Red Sox own the 2nd Wild Card spot.
