Red Sox Beat Pittsburgh 6-2

Wednesday, March 9th was a good afternoon for a pair of Boston Red Sox players that visited Bangor this past January as Travis Shaw and Blake Swihart powered the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory over Pittsburgh in Spring Training action.

Swihart who played DH was 3-4 with 2 RBI's and had 2 doubles.

Travis Shaw was 2-3 playing 1B, driving in 3 runs, 2 of them on this homer

Top prospect Yoan Moncada impressed at 2B

Joe Kelly started for the Red Sox going 2.1 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run (earned), struck out 3 and walked 2.

The Red Sox play at 1:05 PM on Thursday, March 10th against Minnesota. David Price will make his first Spring Training start for the Red Sox.
