MDI Boys Basketball Beats John Bapst 86-63 [STATS]

The MDI Boys and John Bapst Basketball Teams combined for 19 3-pointers on Friday night, January 30th with the Trojans beating the Crusaders 86-63 on Senior Recognition Night in Bar Harbor.

MDI jumped out to a 28-16 lead in the 1st Quarter as James Witham had 12 points for the Trojans and Kam Weymouth 8 points for the Crusaders.

The lead stayed at 12, at the end of the 1st Half, with the Trojans up 45-41. In the 2nd Quarter Dylan Still had 7 points for MDI while Colby Haggerty had 8 points for the Crusaders.

MDi led 72-44 at he end of the 3rd quarter. The Trojans drained 5 3's in the 3rd Quarter with Witham having 2 3's and Stoll, Kenneth Stilwell and Lincoln Gray each burying 1. Colby Hagerty had 8 points for John Bapst.

MDI was led by James Witham with 24 points and 5 3-pointers. Dylan Stoll had 21 points and 2 3's. Preston Tripp, Kenneth Stilwell and Lincoln Gray each had a 3-pointer. MDI was 6-12 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Colby Haggerty with 16 points, including 2 3-pointers. Kam Weymouth had 14 points with 3 3-pointers. Aiden Ouellette, Chase Wilkinson, Evan Alley and Matt Roggero each had a 3-pointer. The Crusaders were 8-10 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 15-2 and in 4th place in the Class B North Heal Point Standings. They have 1 game left in the regular season, when they play at Ellsworth on Wednesday, February 4th. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

John Bapst is 4-12 and in 9th place in the Class B North Heal Point Standings. They play at Old Town on Saturday, January 31st and then finish the season against Hermon on Tuesday, February 3rd.
