MDI Summer Basketball Teams Have Productive Weekend in Southern Maine

Most coaches will tell you that the sweat and effort during the summer basketball season pays off big-time during the cold nights in the gyms when the winter basketball season begins. The bonding an camaraderie established during the summer pays huge dividends during the season.

The MDI Boy's Summer Team went 5-0 this past weekend, with wins over Maranacook, Brunswick, Gorham, Gray-New Gloucester and Thornton Academy.

Members of the Boy's Summer Team include James Witham, Dylan Stoll, Lincoln Gray, Kenneth Stillwell, Trevor Brophy, Coe Thurstan, Silas Witham, Wyatt Foutaine, Wyatt Ford and Chase Stillwell.

The Girl's Summer Team went 4-1. They played Maranacook, Mt. Ararat, Gorham, Gray-New Gloucester and Thornton Academy.

Members of the Girl's Summer Team include Lilli Hanf, Ella Watson, Cassidy Dunbar, Avery Norwood, Lily Collins, Addy Dowsland, Morgan Culshaw, Briella McIntire and Cate Brown.
