Red Sox Waste Suarez’s Pitching Effort Fall to Rockies 8-6 [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox lost to the Colorado Rockies 8-6 on Wednesday, June 24th as the Rockies rallied from 6-3, scoring 5 runs in the 7th and 8th inning.

Ranger Suarez pitched 6.0 innings, allowing 7 hits and 3 runs, just 1 earned. He struck out 9 and walked 1. He left with a 6-3 lead.

Taylor Guerrero allowed 3 runs in the 7th inning, giving up 2 hits and striking out 1. All the runs were unearned. Drew Coulombe retired the final batter but not before allowing a hit.

Justin Slaten pitched the 8th inning allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, both earned.

The Red Sox hit 2 homers. Conner Wong hit his 1st homer since September 8, 2024. Andruw Monasterio hit a solo home run, his 3rd of the season.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 3-5 with a single, double and triple, just a home run short of the cycle.

Boston banged out 5 doubles. Willson Contreras, Rafaela, Marcelo Mayer, Anthony Siegler and Carlos Narvaez each doubled.

Boston was 3-11 with runners in scoring position and left 5 runners on base.
