The Hammond Lumber Riverdogs defeated the Trenton Acadians 4-3 in American Senior Legion Baseball on Monday, June 22nd.

The Riverdogs took a early 2-0 lead scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Trenton scored in the top of the 3rd to make the score 2-1. The Riverdogs added 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th. Trenton answered with a run in the 5th to make the score 4-2. They tried to rally int he top of the 7th, scoring 1 run, but came up short.

Dawson Curtis started on the mound for the Acadians. He pitched 5.0 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs, 3 of which were earned. He struck out 6 and walked 3, taking the loss. Jackson Barry pitched the 6th inning, striking out 2 and walking 1.

Bodie Biship started on the mound for the Riverdogs and picked up the win. He pitched 2.0 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 run, which was earned. He struck out 3 and walked 3. Aidan Howard pitched the 4th inning, allowing 1 hit and striking out and walking 1. Collin Mehrhoff pitch the 5th and 6th innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 3 and walking 1. Noah Kain picked up the save, allowing a hit and striking out 1.

Logan Crowley was 2-3 with a double, leading off for the Acadians. Dawson Curtis had a double. Trent Goss was 3-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Gunnar Vines and Hollis Grindal, and Brayden Sekulich each had a single.

Hollis Grindal had a stolen base.

Andrew Cote was 2-4 leading off for the Riverdogs. Bodie Bishop had a double and drove in 2 runs. Noah Kain had a double. Rogan Lord, Wyatt Allen and Henry Armell each had a single.

Cote swiped 2 bases and Lord stole a base.

The Trenton Acadians are now 1-1. They are set to host the Dunkin Comrades on Wednesday, June 24th at 5:30 p.m.

The Hammond Lumber Riverdogs are 3-0. They will play at the CM Hurricanes on Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:30 p.m.
