Ellsworth Girls Fall to Hermon 47-43

The Ellsworth Girls traveled to Hermon on Tuesday, January 7th and fell to the Hermon Hawks 47-43 in a Eastern Maine Class B Girl's Matchup.

Ellsworth was led by birthday girl Emily Berry with a team high 14 points, and Morgan Card had 10 points. Maddie Card hit 2 3-pointers for Ellsworth. Ellsworth was 5-13 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Jenna Crouce with 15 points and Claire Peterson had 10. Jenna Crouce had 2 3-pointers, Bryanne Crouse had 1 3-pointer and Claire Peterson drained a 3-pointer for Hermon. Hermon was 13-31 from the free throw line.

With the loss, Ellsworth falls to 3-5 on the season, while Hermon improves to 2-5. The Ellsworth Girls. Ellsworth plays at Sumner Thursday, January 9th at 7 PM, and that game will be aired on WDEA AM 1370, and then plays at home Saturday, January 11th at 6:30 against Calais. Hermon plays at home Thursday, January 9th at Old Town at 7 PM then goes up to Aroostook County to play Caribou on Saturday, January 11th at 3 PM.
