EHS Boys Fall To Old Town 64-57

In a game that was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, January 16th, the Old Town Boy's Basketball Team defeated Ellsworth at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth, 64-57 on Friday, January 15th.

Old Town jumped out to a 13-10 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, and led Ellsworth 27-16 at the end of the 1st Half. It was 44-33 Old Town at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Ellsworth outscored Old Town 24-20 in the 4th Quarter, but fell 64-57.

Ellsworth was led by Nick Bagley with 20 points, while Zach Harris had 10 points. Ellsworth sank 9 3-pointers, Bagley had 4 3-pointers, Alex Braley and Zach Harris each had 2 3-pointers, and Bryce Harmon, Charlie Libbey and Kyle Golding each had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 6-6 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Kaleb Gifford and Andre Miller each of whom had 15 points. Chad Bartlett had 14 points and Drew Coulombe had 12 points. The Coyotes sank 10 3-pointers, with Kaleb Gifford and Chad Bartlett each had 4 3-pointers, while Jake Jarvis and Andre Miller each had a 3-pointer. Old Town was 12-19 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth falls to 7-4 and will play host to Washington Academy on Tuesday, January 19th at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

Old Town improves to 10-2 and the Coyotes will play host to Central on Tuesday, January 19th at 7 PM.
