Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

I have never been to Chicago to see them dye the river green, although my son Craig and his fiancee Britney were there this past weekend to see that happen, but I have always tried to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, especially when my children were little.

We always used to have green pancakes for breakfast or dinner, and they would have green milk! There were times when we spray painted the snow green! But there was one thing I never did, and wished that I had! I wished that I had put a drop of green food coloring in the toilet tank before I went to bed on March 16th! That way, when the kids flushed the toilet on St. Patrick's Day, the toilet water would turn green and they would freak out! I would tell them that a leprechaun must have visited the house! I guess I'll have to try that this year, and see if my wife notices :)
