Memorial Day Observances Adjusted In Mount Desert For Rain

With the expected rain on Memorial Day, May 25th, the planned Memorial Day Observances in Mount Desert will undergo some changes.

Groups are invited to gather at the Mount Desert Elementary School at 10 a.m. Rather than parading down to the Village Green, a convoy of vehicles will travel to the Neighborhood House, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The Memorial Day Service along with the school bands will be held insidie the Neighborhood House.

After the Service, the cookout with hamburgers and hotdogs will be held inside the Neighborhood House. There is a $5.00 suggested donation per person, and veterans are invited to eat on the house.
